The end isn't quite near enough for many lawmakers.
In a special closed meeting, GOP senate members discussed the unexpected slow rate of what they had previously hoped was President Obama's grand scheme to systematically ruin the nation. Many of the lawmakers' long-term agendas depend directly on an expectation that the Executive Branch is steering the country toward absolute disaster, but things are not progressing as desired.
"It's extremely inconvenient," said one lawmaker from a southwest state, who asked not to be named. "Millions of dollars and hours have been poured into programs dependent on the President following through. The inconsistency is unacceptable, to say the least."
The programs the senator was referring to consist of the plethora of best selling books and campaigns that vehemently attack the President's intentions for the country.
"Morals have plummeted, yes," the lawmaker allotted. "But with the unemployment rate consistently dropping and the economy gaining steam, there's a lot of discouragement in the air."
Another Republican representative didn't see the situation quite as hopeless as all that. "He may not have destroyed America yet, but at least he's made many of us miserable and angry. At the end of the day, he's only human. You can only ask so much. Especially from a democrat."
